Dayparting

Dayparting allows you to define custom time slots for scheduling, making it easy to target content to specific parts of the day.

Overview

Instead of entering exact times for every schedule event, create reusable dayparts:

• Morning (6:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
• Afternoon (12:00 PM - 6:00 PM)
• Evening (6:00 PM - 10:00 PM)
• Overnight (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM)

Creating Dayparts

1. Navigate to Schedule > Dayparting
2. Click Add Daypart
3. Configure:
   • Name - A descriptive name (e.g., "Lunch Hours")
   • Start Time - When the daypart begins
   • End Time - When the daypart ends
   • Exceptions - Specific days or dates to exclude
4. Click Save

Using Dayparts in Schedules

When creating a schedule event:

1. Set the schedule type
2. Select a Daypart instead of entering manual times
3. The event will play during the daypart's configured hours

Default Dayparts

SignageLab includes built-in dayparts:

• Always - 24/7, all day every day
• Custom - Enter your own start/end times

Day-Specific Scheduling

Dayparts can have different times for different days:

• Weekdays: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Weekends: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Exceptions

Add exception rules for holidays or special dates when the daypart should not apply.
