Menu Boards

Menu Boards provide a dedicated system for managing digital menu content, ideal for restaurants, cafes, and food service environments.

Overview

The Menu Board system allows you to:

  • Organize menu items into categories
  • Manage products with names, descriptions, prices, and images
  • Display menus using specialized widgets in layouts
  • Update prices and items without redesigning layouts

Creating a Menu Board

  1. Navigate to Library > Menu Boards
  2. Click Add Menu Board
  3. Enter a Name
  4. Select a Folder
  5. Click Save

Managing Categories

Organize your menu into logical sections:

  1. Open the Menu Board's row menu
  2. Select View Categories
  3. Click Add Category
  4. Enter a Name (e.g., "Starters", "Main Courses", "Beverages")
  5. Set a Sort Order for display sequence
  6. Click Save

Managing Products

Add items to your menu categories:

  1. Select a category
  2. Click Add Product
  3. Enter product details:
    • Name - Product name
    • Description - Brief description
    • Price - Item price
    • Allergy Information - Dietary notes
    • Image - Product photo from the Library
    • Availability - Toggle items on/off
  4. Click Save

Displaying Menus

Use Menu Board widgets in the Layout Editor:

Displays all products within a single category:

  1. Add a Menu Board Category widget to your layout
  2. Select the Menu Board and Category
  3. Configure the display template and styling

Displays specific products:

  1. Add a Menu Board Products widget
  2. Select products to display
  3. Configure appearance and layout

Updating Menus

Changes to menu items, prices, or availability are reflected automatically on displays:

  • Edit product prices and details in the Menu Board section
  • Toggle product availability without removing items
  • Add seasonal specials or remove discontinued items

Tip

Menu Board changes propagate to displays on the next sync cycle — no need to edit or republish layouts.
