Show an Image

This guide walks you through uploading an image and displaying it on your screens.

Steps

1. Upload the Image

  1. Navigate to Library > Media from the main menu
  2. Click the Add Media button
  3. Click Add files and select your image file
  4. Optionally provide a Name (defaults to the filename)
  5. Select a Folder to organize your media
  6. Click Start upload

Supported Formats

SignageLab supports common image formats including JPG, PNG, GIF, and BMP.

2. Schedule to a Display

  1. Navigate to Schedule from the main menu
  2. Click Add Event
  3. In the scheduling wizard:
    • Select Image as the event type
    • Choose your uploaded image
    • Select the target Display(s)
    • Choose Always to display continuously, or set a custom date range
  4. Complete the wizard to save the schedule

3. Verify on Display

Your display will sync with the CMS on its next collection interval and download the image. Once downloaded, the image will appear full-screen on your display.

Tip

The default collection interval is typically 5 minutes. You can trigger an immediate sync from the Displays page using the row menu.

Alternative: Use a Layout

For more control over positioning and styling, you can add your image to a Layout:

  1. Go to Design > Layouts and click Add Layout
  2. In the Layout Editor, open the Toolbox
  3. Drag an Image widget onto the canvas
  4. Select your uploaded image from the Library
  5. Resize and position as needed
  6. Publish the Layout
  7. Schedule the Layout to your displays
