Sync Groups¶
Sync Groups synchronize content playback across multiple displays, ensuring all screens show the same content at the same time.
Overview¶
Use Sync Groups when you need displays to play content in perfect synchronization, such as:
- Video walls spanning multiple screens
- Multi-screen installations
- Coordinated lobby displays
Creating a Sync Group¶
- Navigate to Displays > Sync Groups
- Click Add Sync Group
- Enter a Name
- Select the Sync Publisher - the lead display that controls timing
- Click Save
Adding Members¶
- Open the Sync Group's row menu
- Select Members
- Add displays to the group
- Designate one display as the Publisher (sync leader)
- Other displays become Subscribers (follow the leader)
How It Works¶
- The Publisher display controls playback timing
- Subscriber displays synchronize their playback to match the Publisher
- All displays in the group show the same content simultaneously
- If the Publisher goes offline, subscribers continue with their last known schedule
Requirements¶
- All displays in a Sync Group must be on the same network
- Player versions must support sync functionality
- Content must be scheduled to the Sync Group (not individual displays)
Info
Sync Groups work best when displays are on the same local network with low latency.
