Display Settings

Display Settings (Display Profiles) control the behavior of player devices connected to SignageLab.

Display Profiles

Profiles define a collection of settings that can be applied to one or more displays:

  1. Navigate to Displays > Display Settings
  2. Click Add Profile or edit an existing one
  3. Configure settings for the target player type
  4. Assign the profile to displays

Profile Types

Profiles are created per player platform:

  • Windows - Windows player settings
  • Linux - Linux player settings
  • Android - Android player settings
  • Chrome OS - Chrome OS player settings
  • SoC (System on Chip) - Embedded player settings

Common Settings

Collection

  • Collection Interval - How often the player checks for updates (default: 5 minutes)
  • Download Start/End - Schedule content downloads to off-peak hours
  • Stats Collection - Enable/disable proof of play reporting

Location

  • Latitude/Longitude - Default location coordinates
  • Timezone - Display timezone for scheduling

Display

  • Screen Dimensions - Override detected resolution
  • Orientation - Portrait or landscape mode
  • Screen Shot settings - Request interval and size

Network

  • Proxy configuration for restricted networks
  • Force HTTPS - Require secure connections

Applying Profiles

  1. Edit a display from the Displays grid
  2. In the Advanced tab, select the Display Profile
  3. Click Save

Tip

Create profiles for different deployment scenarios (e.g., "Retail Stores", "Corporate Offices") and assign them to relevant displays.
