Display Configuration

This guide covers connecting, authorizing, and configuring your digital signage displays.

Connecting a Display

Using a Connection Code

  1. Install the Player App on your device
  2. On the Player, find the Connection Code displayed on screen
  3. In the CMS, go to Displays
  4. Click Add Display (Code)
  5. Enter the connection code
  6. The display connects and appears in the Displays grid

Using CMS Key

  1. On the Player App, enter the CMS URL
  2. Enter the CMS Key (found in CMS Settings)
  3. The Player registers with the CMS
  4. Authorize the display in the CMS (see below)

Authorizing Displays

New displays appear as Unauthorized in the Displays grid:

  1. Navigate to Displays
  2. Find the unauthorized display
  3. Open the row menu
  4. Select Authorize
  5. The display begins receiving content

Warning

Unauthorized displays will not receive any content. Always authorize displays after connection.

Display Properties

Edit a display to configure:

General

  • Name - A friendly name for the display
  • Description - Optional notes
  • License - The assigned license
  • Default Layout - Content shown when nothing is scheduled

Location

  • Latitude / Longitude - Geographic coordinates
  • Address - Physical location description
  • Used for Geo Scheduling

Advanced

  • Display Profile - Apply a settings profile
  • Wake on LAN - Remote power-on capability
  • Collection Interval - How often the Player checks for updates

Managing Displays

Manage Actions (Row Menu)

  • Edit - Modify display properties
  • Delete - Remove the display
  • Authorize/Deauthorize - Toggle authorization
  • Schedule Now - Quick-schedule content
  • Transfer - Move to another CMS (multi-CMS setups)
  • Wake on LAN - Send a wake command
  • Screen Shot - Request a screenshot from the player
