Displays¶
A Display represents the connection between the SignageLab CMS and a Player App installed on a physical device or professional signage monitor.
Overview¶
The Displays section covers:
- Connecting and authorizing player devices
- Configuring display settings and profiles
- Organizing displays into groups
- Monitoring display status and health
- Sending commands to player devices
How Displays Work¶
- Download the Player App for your device
- Install the Player App (some SoC monitors come pre-installed)
- Connect the Player to the CMS using a connection code or CMS key
- Authorize the Display from the CMS Displays page
Once authorized, the Player:
- Regularly syncs with the CMS for schedule updates
- Downloads new content automatically
- Plays content offline if the connection is interrupted
- Reports status and statistics back to the CMS
