CMS Settings¶
Configure core SignageLab CMS settings. Only Super Administrators can access these settings.
Accessing Settings¶
Navigate to Administration > Settings from the main menu.
Settings Categories¶
Configuration¶
- CMS Secret Key - Used for player connections
- Library Location - File storage path
- CMS URL - The base URL of your CMS
- Default Timezone - System-wide timezone
Defaults¶
- Default Layout - Shown when no content is scheduled
- Default Transition - Visual transition between content items
- Resize Threshold - Image resize limits
- Default Language - CMS interface language
Displays¶
- Collection Interval - How often players check for updates
- Stats Collection - Enable/disable proof of play
- Default Display Profile - Applied to new displays
- Max Display Size - Upload size limits
General¶
- Library Size Limit - Maximum total library storage
- Monthly Bandwidth Limit - Data transfer limits
- Maintenance Mode - Enable/disable for system maintenance
- Max Upload Size - Per-file upload limits
Users¶
- Password Policy - Minimum length, complexity requirements
- Session Timeout - Auto-logout after inactivity
- Two-Factor Authentication - Global 2FA settings
Network¶
- Proxy Settings - For CMS behind a proxy
- CDN Configuration - Content delivery network settings
- Email Settings - SMTP configuration for notifications

Changing CMS settings affects all users and displays. Test changes in a staging environment first when possible.
